A Gift is for Giving

Madison Black knew as a young child that she was called to work in films or movies in some way!  She wants to star in them, write them, film and edit them, produce them or any other thing that can be done with cinema.  Madison watched a movie called Bella and cried though most of it.  The film is about a young man with a bright future as a famous soccer player who through a tragic accident learns what life is really all about.  I'll stop there, (I don't want to spoil the plot; it's worth the time and money spent to watch the movie) but the handsome leading man directed and produced the movie with good morals that's safe for the whole family.  Natually, Madison wanted to find out more about this actor who seemed to have it all together in the Hollywood scene.  She found him at GoodnessReigns.com, a Catholic website devoted to young people and helping them to develop gifts to use for God, the One who gave us those gifts.  On the site, Madison found a contest.  One challenging youth to make films about the goodness of God and how to make a difference in our world today.  Madison began writing her script, hiring (uh-hemm) her actors, and borrowing professional equipment to make her film.  She worked many long hours getting her film ready for the deadline and submitted the film with just minutes to spare!  Madison's work paid off with her film entitled "Our Hometown" winning first place in the Missionary Spirit catagory; the prize...$4000!  You can view "Our Hometown" by going to the website at goodnessreigns.com or by clicking  http://goodnessreigns.com/vote/all/our-hometown/
