Men's Meeting - February 12, 2011
What can a team of 4 men make with 36 inches of string, 3 feet of masking tape, 20 pieces of raw spaghetti and 1 marshmallow? I'll give you a minute! Hmmmm.....?
Ok, time's up! A spaghetti tower, of course! And to prove it, we've got pictures!
I told you! I didn't say they were GOOD towers, but, yeah, that's what teamwork will do...among other things. At last month's Men Of Valor breakfast meeting, special speaker, Daniel Coborrubio divided the men into two teams, gave each team it's "tools" and instructed them to go to work! Each team gave it their all and as you can see by the pictures, came up with two very different designs. The one on the right was the clear winner with a sturdy base...the most important part of any construction project! Daniel laid a good foundation with his message of teamwork that the speaker for this month's meeting intends to "build upon." Pastor Knight will be speaking to the men on March 12th about being a good team member. Breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m. and the meeting will begin promptly at 9:00.
IMPORTANT NOTE: THE MEN OF FIRST ASSEMBLY HAVE A NEW LEADER! WE ARE EXCITED TO SEE HOW THE LORD WILL BE USING DANIEL COBORRUBIO TO MINISTER IN THIS VITAL AREA OF THE CHURCH.
